ABOUT ME

Award-winning author G. Gordon Davis has so far completed six novels. LETTERS FROM THE ROAD is the first in a trilogy that spans seven decades. The sequel, A ROAD BEYOND THE DARK and the third in the series, THE FUNERAL STONES is now available, so readers are encouraged to check in regularly with Amazon Books or on this website, www.GGordonDavis.com.  Like the trilogy, subsequent novels will be available either electronically or by paperback on Amazon Books or through a favorite book store in the near future.

Born at home and raised in Ludington, Michigan, Davis briefly attended the University of Notre Dame.  It was there where his interest in writing was ignited when two short stories were graded "supernal" by legendary lay professor, Frank O'Malley, who published them in the student literary journal The Juggler. When Davis wasn't writing he was drawing cars.  When the head of Studebaker styling saw the sketches he had done, it was suggested that he apply to the highly regarded Art Center School in Los Angeles, CA (now the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena).

As an Art Center alumnus, Davis was hired by Chrysler Corp where he designed future models in the Advanced Styling Section.  Over the ensuing years Davis designed motorcycle and auto accessories, construction equipment and RVs.  He retired after more than twenty years as an executive recruiter and lives with his wife, Sharon, in Rancho Mirage, California.  He is a long-time member of the Palm Springs Writers Guild.  His interests include anything automotive and aviation.  It might be useful to know that Davis was for a short time a road man like his father.

G. Gordon Davis is an award-winning author of six novels and a retired executive recruiter. He currently resides with his wife in California, where he is a member of the Palm Springs Writers Guild.
